I have a confession to make, I may or may not have an addiction.....to nail polish. Let's just say if I wanted to wear a different color everyday (and I use the term different loosely since opi and essie start to repeat themselves) I would be able to do so for well over a year. I stopped counting bottles out of shame. Anyways, I'm very much so a mood person and the other day I felt like going with a dark polish. So after pulling out a few I chose Essie's wicked. The formula is nice, I used two coats for full opacity and I feel if Essie is applied right (top coat and base coat) it will last with few chips for a few days.
The color is so rich and dark it looks black when at first glance, but it is a dark berry red. I've read that this is one of Bobby Brown's favorite colors too! Rightfully so because it is so chic looking! Wicked is I'm Essie's permanent collection so it will be easy to find. If you prefer OPI's wide brush then the perfect dupe for wicked is OPI I Sing in Color. It's from the Gwen Stefani collection. It is a creme (no glitter or shimmer) and the application was just as lovely if not better than Wicked.
They are so similar it is almost impossible to tell the difference between the two. I Sing in Color may be slightly harder to find, it came out the first week in February and is not part of OPI's permanent collection but it should still be around. My polish changes at least two times a week so I'll try to keep you posted on color swatches and reviews. There are lots of polish trends for spring that I was thinking about discussing in a post soon! I personally choose my color based on my mood; but that's how I pick everything from makeup, to hair, to clothes. Hence why my mother calls me eclectic haha. Happy Monday everyone and hope you have a fabulous week!!!
Xoxo,
Annalee
